Is this actually free?

Yes, it is. Don't probe the question too much or we might change our mind!

What if my computer already got stolen? Can I install Laptop Lookout retroactively?

You cannot install the default build of laptop lookout after the fact. However, if you had google chrome sync set up before your computer was stolen, there is something we can do. Please shoot us an email to get started.

I cannot login to my account, what can I do?

If you simply forgot your password, please reset it here. If your issue is more involved, please email us directly and we will see what we can do.

When will a version for Firefox be available?

Not quite sure. It is definitely something we want to do though.
